For the City of Aurora, I designed a magazine page layout and complementary Instagram post in Adobe InDesign to promote “Aurora Eats”—a campaign highlighting the city’s diverse food scene. The core challenge was representing the wide variety of cuisines without spotlighting any single restaurant. My design solution was to focus on the experience of eating: using lifestyle imagery of people enjoying food and close-up shots of plated meals. This approach emphasized the community and cultural richness around food rather than specific dishes. I incorporated the City of Aurora’s logo into the layout and used the official brand colors to create a cohesive, visually engaging graphic that aligned with the city’s identity. During my presentation, I walked through this design dilemma and solution, showcasing how form and function guided the final visual direction.
